• In the hole at a lot of organic matter. This is very important because fertilizer will make the soil lighter and it will have a high level of retaining water. If you have a moist soil your carrots will grow sweeter and less fibrous.
• Depending on where you live you have a certain period in the year when you can plant you carrot seeds. If you live in a cool region you have to wait for the last frost to sow them in the ground. If you live in a warm area you can plant them in the spring or in the fall.
• If you want your seeds to germinate faster all you have to do is soak them in water about 10 days before you put them in the ground. Keep them in a glass full of water about 6 hours.
• Make room in your carrots before the plants on top grow big. You should live about 3 to 4 inches between you carrots.
• Spray your carrots with compost tea to make sure that you carrots grow strong and healthy. Also make sure that you water them at least once a week.
• Harvest your carrots as soon as you notice that they turn deep orange.
• Use them in any dishes you want and you will notice the difference. Do not harvest them if you do not intend to use them because they last longer if you keep them in the ground.
